Lodge an insurance claim or request an account e-statement for deposits held at an institution under KDIC administration.
Before You Submit
These services are for depositors at institutions under KDIC administration. Please confirm all of the following before proceeding:
- The institution is under KDIC receivership or has been declared failed by the CBK
- You hold or held a deposit account at the failed institution
- Your deposit is an eligible deposit type (savings, current, fixed deposit, etc.)
- You have your account number and National ID / Passport ready

Coverage Limit
KDIC insurance covers up to KES 500,000 per depositor per institution. Use our calculator to confirm how much of your deposit is protected.

Claims are typically verified within 10–15 business days of submission. Payment is disbursed promptly once verification is complete.
Supporting Documents
KDIC may request a copy of your National ID, account opening documents, or bank statements to verify your claim. Have these ready.
