Restricted portal for authorised KDIC member institution representatives to submit statutory deposit data and premium returns.
Restricted Access
This portal is for authorised member institution representatives only. You must have valid KDIC e-Returns portal credentials issued to your institution to proceed.
Before you proceed:
- Ensure you are the designated compliance officer for your institution
- Use your official institutional email address to log in
- Do not share your credentials with unauthorised persons
- All submissions are logged and audited by KDIC

Obligations
Required Returns
Member institutions are required to file the following returns with KDIC. Failure to comply may attract penalties under the KDI Act.
Quarterly Deposit Returns
Total insurable deposit data broken down by deposit type, required every quarter by the 20th of the following month.
Annual Premium Declaration
Comprehensive annual return used to calculate the institution's risk-based premium for the coming year.
Ad Hoc Submissions
KDIC may request additional data submissions from member institutions for supervisory or policy purposes.
Step by Step
How to File Returns
First-time filers or new compliance officers should follow this process to submit returns via the KDIC e-Returns portal.
Obtain Credentials
Your institution's KDIC-designated compliance officer must request portal credentials from KDIC via the official institutional email. Credentials are not transferable.
Log In to the Portal
Use your institution-specific username and one-time password to log in to the KDIC e-Returns portal. You will be prompted to set a new password on first login.
Complete the Return Form
Select the return type, fill in all required data fields, and attach any supporting documents as specified in the Return Guidelines.
Submit & Acknowledge
Review your submission, then submit. You will receive an automated acknowledgement and reference number. Retain this for your records.
Security & Confidentiality Notice
All data submitted through the KDIC e-Returns portal is treated as confidential and protected under the Kenya Deposit Insurance Act, 2012 and the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Unauthorised access is a criminal offence.
